This artifact was completed in HHPK 528 Sport Psychology during the Summer I 2024 semester. This artifact discusses the critique of a case study done by Daniel Gould and Robert C. Eklund. This artifact meets the competency of the outcome by looking at how training psychological skills can improve sport performance. The case study shows the importance of psychological skills training, outlining the seven step process to begin implementing psychological skills training into athletic programs. Prior to completing this case study, I had no prior knowledge of psychological skills training. Upon reading and completing this case study, I plan on creating and starting psychological skills training in the athletic programs at Shepherd High School.
This artifact was completed in HHPS 584 Administration in Sport and Recreation Programs during the Spring 2025 semester. This artifact discusses servant leadership theory and how it can be used to motivate and get the best work out of team members. This artifact meets the competency of the outcome by looking at characteristics of servant leaders and the benefits of using this leadership strategy in organizations. Upon completing this artifact I have now started to change how I go about leading my classroom and athletic teams I coach as I have learned different ways to lead.
