All artifacts can be seen by clicking on the links where they are listed.

This artifact was completed during HHPS 564 Sport Facilities & Event Management during the Spring 2025 semester. This artifact is a risk management interview with Shepherd ISD AD Miles Robison. The interview includes six questions involving different risk management issues that must be thought about and addressed before sport seasons start. This artifact meets the competency of the outcome by providing current information required by athletic programs to have according to the Athletic director in order to properly insure the safety of athletes and spectators during events. As a current coach who aspires to be an Athletic director one day, this provided great insight into what work really goes into planning out sports seasons and what goes on behind the scenes that majority of people do not see. I hope that one day I can be as good of an AD as Coach Robison.

This artifact was completed during HHPS 584 Administration in Sport & Recreation Programs during the Spring 2025 semester. This artifact is an interview with Andrew Mindeman, the current Associate Director of Athletics for Communications at LeTourneau University, a private NCAA Division III university in Longview, Texas. The purpose of the interview was to bring insight into marketing efforts used by a collegiate sports marketer. This artifact meets the competency of the outcome by providing current knowledge and skills used by sports marketers at the collegiate level. It also offers insights into what it takes to get into the sports marketer profession as well as the dedication it requires to work your way up. As a current high school coach, I will be using the knowledge gained during this interview to better help those of my athletes that want to pursue playing sports at the collegiate level on how to market themselves to colleges and help get them recruited. I will also be taking things away and applying them to my own career to better myself as I work to move into an athletic director position one day. Overall, this interview was very insightful for myself and I look forward to applying the things I learned to my current job.
